[edit] Linking to Categories
Inside pages in the mainspace, then do we really want to link to a category other than in category section at the bottom. It just looks messy and unprofessional. -- JohnJ 08:15, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- Unprofessional how?--Kiba 10:29, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- When I follow links, then I expect it to link to reading material. If we link to the same page more than once, and then it's annoying if you want to do a lot of reading. Anyway we have all the categories at the bottom. It doesn't even say that it leads to a category, what if I don't know what C is? I go to the page expecting to find out but find a list of games using it. -- JohnJ 10:37, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- It is not annoying to me. If you want reading materials, expand these categories or something.--Kiba 10:41, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- But when was the last time you saw that on another wiki without it mentioning it? -- JohnJ 10:46, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- Irrelevant to the discussion.--Kiba 10:48, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- Fine keep it -- JohnJ 10:52, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
- Just my 2cw, but it is not irrelevant to the discussion, how do you judge professional if not against other sites? For my opinion, I think either should make a wiki page for each language we come across as being used (yeah, right...) or we don't "link" to categories for games written in that language. If nothing else we need some way of saying "link to a list of games written in X language..." -- RB0 06:14, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

But is that not why there are the categories at the bottom of the page? Doing it this way just increases the number of bytes in a page, and TBH I don't really like linking to the same page more than once in one article. Anyways, its up to you what happens I'm just adding my 2pence -- JohnJ 12:24, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
