The game, when launched, is played as a continuous experience, without cuts or loading screens. The story of the game's story mode happens within the game world and is fully interactive. The settings of the game happen outside of the game itself, in a separate GTK launcher. As soon as the game-engine starts, there are no settings or menus. Apart from those that are living in the world of the game, like some phones or computers that the player can interact with.

The main character has an access to a garage where cars will be stored if the player closes the game. Also in that garage, the player can make various modifications to the cars. Upgrading them with spoilers, or nitro. Or making fixes to them. The cars in '''Dani's Race''' are breakable.

The game has various non-story playable events such as races which are available throughout the town at various times during the day and after various story parts are been finished. Those usually require a bid, so later if the player wins the race, he could take the money everybody had bid on the race. This way the player can earn money to buy parts for the cars.

The game has a functional cinema in the game world, which can play any video-file from the player's computer.
