LinCity-NG is a city building game that is the successor to and fork of LinCity. It is being developed by members of the Happypenguin's Game of the Month project. The stable latest version of the game is 1.1.2 released on November 4, 2007. The latest unstable release is 1.92.beta released on September 13th, 2008. It used the SDL library.
Gameplay
You are a city designer and have many objects and buildings with which to build your city out of. To obtain new possible buildings and industries you will need to increase your tech levels. This is achieved by building 'monuments' and later 'schools' and 'universities'.

Winning the game requires managing the city until it reaches sustainable development or is evacuated via spaceship. There is also a scenario, where you take over a city with all sorts of disasters.

The only way to lose the game is if your citizens die out due to pollution or starvation.
The mood of the country is shifting, and we need to turn things around. Go out on the streets and indoctrinate Conservative automatons. That is, let them see their True Liberal Nature. The game starts by asking a series of questions that determine the stats of your starting character, then as the founder of the LCS you go out and recruit liberals and sleepers, liberal recruits work at your base of operations or go to public sites for acts of "liberal disobedience", sleepers work in conservative positions and try to influence people from the inside. Endgame: Singularity is a RTS game that simulates a true AI. It is written in the Python programming language using the pygame library by a programmer with the pseudonym evilmrhenry. It is licensed under the GPL. The latest version of the game is 0.28a on May 12th, 2008. It was orginally written for the first PyWeek competition.
There is a mini competition that runs once a month, with less stringent rules, created to keep the contestants busy in the off season between the main competitions.
The rules were changed in an effort to provide a more relaxed feel to the competition. Some of the changes include: teams are allowed, existing art/sound/media/etc. are allowed, theme is not voted on, but chosen by the person running the competition.
It first ran in June of 2008
