Chocolate Doom is a Doom source port also compatible with Hexen, Heretic and Strife.[3] It is a conservative port, maintaining identical gameplay to the original Doom but unlike the original, Chocolate Doom multiplayer uses Internet Protocol and is therefore playable over today's internet.[4]
Chocolate Doom is compatible with Freedoom.[5]
The related Crispy Doom fork maintains the same general design philosophy, but with a greater tolerance for quality of life upgrades.
