Asylum is a 2D platform/shooting game designed and written by Andy Southgate in 1994, originally as a commercial project for the Acorn Archimedes. In 2002 Southgate released the source and media into the public domain, and a C port using SDL is now available.

[edit] Availability

SDL Asylum is distributed as source and is also available as official Debian and Fedora packages. The latest release is 0.3.0 on February 21, 2009.

The original Archimedes-only Asylum implementation is still available from acornarcade.com as ARM assembler source and binaries (v2.02).
