Bastian Salmela, also known as basse, is an artist from Helsinki, Finland.^[1]

Salmela is one of the artists of Freedroid RPG.^[2] He is also a re-designer of Konqi the Dragon, KDE's mascot.^[3] He created art for the film Elephants Dream (formerly known as Orange).^[4] He drew some of the chess pieces for a KDE game of chess.^[5]
