Egoboo is a 3D role-playing game. The stated aim of the developers is "to create a fully free, 3D, Rogue and Zelda-like in the spirit of Nethack". The latest version of the game is 2.7.7 released on May 7, 2008. Both the data and the source code are licensed under GPL.[1][2] It is written primary in the C programming language.[3]
