GNU Go play the game of Go, an ancient board game invented by the Chinese. The latest stable version of GNU Go is 3.6 released on November 17, 2004. The latest development release is 3.7.10 released on May 22, 2006.[1] It is licensed under the GPLv3 since October 24, 2007 in CVS.[2]
GNU Go also provided support for online gaming with the GGZ Gaming Zone service.[3] Along with support for GGZ, it played on GO servers like NNGS Go, Legend of Go server hosted in Tawian, and the WING server hosted in Japan.
