Meritous is an action RPG game written by Lancer-X/ASCEAI.[2] It is licensed under the GPLv3+, except for the music, whose license was uncertain for Debian in 2008.[3][4][1]

The game was developed by Lancer-X/ASCEAI, beta tested by Quasar, Terryn and Wervyn.
It uses music by various authors, one of whom is unknown. Because of that, the music was not included in the Debian packages.

Debian lenny/sid contain a package of Meritous with at least music removed, available for GNU/Linux, GNU/Hurd, GNU/kFreeBSD. The package is maintained by Dylan R. E. Moonfire, and has been accepted in unstable on 2008-02-09.[4]
