Performous (formerly UltraStar-NG) is a karaoke game released under the GNU GPL 2+.

The latest version is 0.3.0, released on 2008-11-03. It is written in the C++ programming language and uses the SDL library.

Version 0.3.0 uses OpenGL. UltraStar-NG 0.2.1, released on 2007-11-05, did not require OpenGL.

The game does not include any free songs, like a player does not include any music (there is a package with songs, one of which is under a CC by-sa license).
