Stephan Stahl, also known as esteel, (born November 1978) is a freelance programmer from Nürnberg, Bavaria, Germany.^[1]

Stephan Stahl found out about Nexuiz in 2005, when version 1.0 was released. He "fell in love with the game" and joined the community. Later he became part of the development team.^[2]
