Gnome Chess (formerly a part of GNOME Games) is a 2D chess game for GNOME desktop. It automatically detects installed chess engines (such as GNU Chess) for computer players.[2][3] It used to have a 3D view mode, but it was dropped in version 3.13.4.[4]
