Kernel Panic is a fast-paced Spring RTS mod that simplifies and streamlines gameplay. The resource management is removed: all units and buildings can be constructed without cost. The tech tree is slim with only 10 units per side aiming at keeping the learning curve short. Game duration will take no longer than 10 minutes. The graphics use vector shape looks reminiscent of the movie Tron or the commercial game Darwinia. The gameplay is somewhat similar to the 1996 DOS classic Z.
