Panda3D is a free engine. This means that the source code is available to be studied, modified, and distributed. Most projects look for help with testing, documentation, graphics, etc., as well. |
Panda3D is 3D engine. It is written in C++ with a set of Python bindings.
The engine features a short learning curve and rapid development, including pre-made models for testing and use.
Panda was originally developed by Disney for their ToonTown project, released as free software in 2002, now is developed by the Carnegie Mellon University's Entertainment under the Modified BSD License.[1]
