Scorched 3D is a free game. This means that the source code is available to be studied, modified, and distributed. Most projects look for help with testing, documentation, graphics, etc., as well.

Scorched 3D is a 3D turn based artillery game and based on the DOS game Scorched Earth. It is licensed under the GPLv2.[1] The latest version of the game is 44 released on August 1st, 2014[2] [3] It is written in the C++ programming language.[4]

The first build was announced on April 29th, 2001. However it is unclear whether this was a real, actual release.[5]
