StressFreeZone is a free game. This means that the source code and media files are available to be studied, modified, and distributed. Most projects look for help with testing, documentation, graphics, etc., as well.

StressFreeZone is a space simulation focused on cooperative (non-massive)-multiplayer and intuitive gameplay, that is fun to play in short bursts, e.g. on LAN parties. It is written in the C++ and Lua programming language and uses the Lugre engine. The source code is licensed under the GPL (version 3 or later). The media are licensed under various liberal licenses.

The game is incomplete and has not been developed further since October 2008.
