CuteMaze is a free game. This means that the source code and media files are available to be studied, modified, and distributed. Most projects look for help with testing, documentation, graphics, etc., as well.

CuteMaze is a puzzle game written by Graeme Gott and licensed under the GPL[1]. Version 1.0.0 of the game released on February 15th, 2008.[2] It uses the Qt library. The game's website features an optional tipping section near the downloads, as a pay what you want model. It features installers for Windows, macOS, a wide variety of Linux distributions (as well as Flatpak), FreeBSD and even OS/2.

Gameplay[edit]

The player controls a character (a mouse or a penguin ala Tux, SVG themes are supported) in a rectangular maze randomly generated using one of several algorithms. It is possible to mark the squares or to get them marked automatically.
