Lugaru (pronounced Loo-GAH-roo[2]) is a 3D action game by Wolfire Games.
Gameplay[edit]
The player controls an anthropomorphic rabbit which combats wolves and hostile rabbits.
Development[edit]
The game was primarily made by David Rosen.[1]
In 2010, the source code of a Lugaru code branch was released under the GNU General Public License. In 2016, David Rosen relicensed all assets under the CC BY-SA 3.0 Creative Commons license, making Lugaru a fully free game.[1]
Sequel[edit]
A sequel, Overgrowth, was released in 2017. In April 2022, Wolfire Games released the source code for Overgrowth (engine, project files, scrips, and shaders) under the Apache 2.0 license, but not the assets (texture, models, or audio).[3]
