Yo Frankie! is a free game. This means that the source code is available to be studied, modified, and distributed. Most projects look for help with testing, documentation, graphics, etc., as well. |
Yo Frankie!, previously Apricot, is a free 3D platform game project launched by the Blender Institute and supported by the Crystal Space community, to improvement Blender in game development, and the Crystal Space engine.
The project start in February 2008, and its 1.0 release date was in August 2008[Verification needed]
. The source code is licensed under the GPL and the media is licensed under the CC-BY license.
The game has been released for download on 9 Dec 2008.[2]
As of 2009-11-26, the latest release is 1.1, made on July 4th, 2009.[3] Unsurprisingly, this game requires 3D hardware acceleration.
