MegaZeux (MZX) is a free software game creation software styled after Epic Games' classic title ZZT by Tim Sweeny (later developer of the Unreal Engine).
The program was first started in late 1994 by Alexis Janson, who formed her own but now defunct company, Software Visions. Similar to the original ZZT, MegaZeux was first released as shareware whilst world editor portion of the program was included entirely for free, which allowed third parties to create their own game worlds without needing to register the game.
MegaZeux is officially supported on Windows 95 or later, Linux, Mac OS X, Wii, GP2X, PSP, and the DS. It is also unofficially available for AmigaOS 4, OpenBSD, FreeBSD, OpenSolaris, Haiku and Android.
