| Swarm Simulator is a free game. This means that the source code and media files are available to be studied, modified, and distributed. Most projects look for help with testing, documentation, graphics, etc., as well. | |
Swarm Simulator is an idle game for the web browser. You start with a bunch of meat and larvae and will slowly build a terrifyingly giant swarm of countless insects. The game is mostly text-based.
Gameplay[edit]
You will accumulate meat over time. Your swarm eats meat to grow. You can use your resources to progressively hatch more and more powerful insects or buy special upgrades to boost production. As is usual in idle games, you can let the game run in the background, and the numbers still go up.
History[edit]
The very first public release was version 0.1.0 on August 28th, 2014. Version 1.0.0 came out on October 2nd, 2015.[2]
