Turns of War is a minimalist retro-style turn-based strategy game with pixel-art graphics. The player controls a small army of units in tiny 2D levels against an computer opponent in a medieval fantasy setting, featuring soldiers, archers, druids, mages, kobolds and other units.
The game is played in pre-designed levels and the goal is to defeat the enemy forces. Units can move, attack and perform supporting moves (like heal, summon other units, etc.).
As of version 0.0.3, there are 30 levels and 30 units in total.
The game is written in Java and utilizes a custom engine called Omicron, which describes itself a “Java Fantasy Console/Game Engine”.
