Liquid War 6 is a tactical action game that involves blobs of liquids written by Christian Mauduit. Liquid War 6 is a complete rewrite of Liquid War 5 as a part of the GNU Project. It is licensed under the GPLv3 (or later).
Gameplay[edit]
Players compete for domination over a 2D world by controlling the flow of liquids. Players move the cursor to tell “their” liquid where to flow. They must surround the other liquids to consume them while avoiding being consumed themselves. The last player standing wins.
Features[edit]
The game can be played against the computer or other players (via hot-seat). Online multiplayer is still just a prototype (As of 2026-08-24).[3] 10 players can play.
There is experimental support for unique strengths and weaknesses for each player, and also weapons.
The game comes with 13 levels pre-installed, but a level pack with over 100 pack can optionally be downloaded. There’s also the option to create custom levels using image files.[4]
